Docking Everything in Ubuntu Systray Empty Docking Everything in Ubuntu Systray

Hey there Smile Ever wanted to dock something in ubuntu so that when you close it, it will actually be minimized in your systray?

Alltray helps you do that!! It can dock any program in ubuntu's systray!!
Just use
Code:
 sudo apt-get install alltray
to install alltray

You need to reboot your machine to make it work.
Then, when you start an application, instead of using its name as command, give this command:
Code:
alltray -s -l <your-app-name> %u

For example, I used this command for thunderbird at startup

Code:
alltray -s -l thunderbird %u

So that it is started whenever I boot my machine, and if I close it by mistake, it will be minimized to the system tray!! And it does not stop Thunderbird from checking the mail automatically as well Smile

Enjoy!!
