About the Debate Club's name

Dear IITians,
i am very glad to inform you that we are going to introduce a debate club in our IIT. we have already finished the preliminary and back-end works. But we have faced a problem in selecting it's name. here we have multiple proposals. the most voted one is

IITDC- IIT Debating Club.

some also says about IT Debating Club (ITDC). But we are in confusion about it. So finally we have decided to make the name by your proposals. so guys propose name for the debating club and post it here. you can also vote on the proposed two name. then finally we decide it by your response................

By the way, my vote goes to ITDC, because it sounds better, easy to pronounce, syllablically more harmonic.

My vote is for IITDC. I think, if we set ITDC as our club's name, then it sounds like this club refers to all IT students or professionals. So < its better to have "IITDC" which will represent only us..our IIT.

Hoping we can run our IITDC very soon

I wonder, ITDC belongs to which IT Daaffodil(DIIT)? MIT?
We need something which will completely represent our institute.

It's always great to see we all are participating in the decision making matters.

Well, in case of deciding the name of the debating club, you can also think from some different perspective instead of the so-called names like "IITDC" or "ITDC".

Here is some examples,

"VOICE OF MANARAT" (debate cllub of Manarat university)
"HOUSE OF DEBATERS" (Jahurul Haq Hall)
"SURJOSHEN BITORKO DHARA" (Surjoshen Hall)

These are the exceptional names i am talking about. Most of the clubs use the traditional way of naming ("institution_name debating club"). The most advantageous part of this kind of naming is that, it reflects the institutional face straight away.

So, my suggestion is that, it's better to find out a name that not only reflects the name of the institutions and but also represents some newer ideas with creativity....

Expecting all of your participation....

I think we should think about an user friendly name. For this reason I am supporting IITDC most
