Debate Against CSE

Yeh, A post after a long time. As it was unused for a long time I was a little bit afraid that Honorable Admin and Moderator would remove this directory. Thanx to them as they haven't did that.....
Now to the main Topic we are going to have a series of debate with the CSE Debating club... I think this will be a enjoyable one and moreover it will be a very important one as their is a professional competition with CSE with the beginning of our institute.....
The first debate will be in our Institute at Next Thursday, 31st March at 2.00 PM... We haven't finalize the Team and still searching for some consistent debaters. So from tomorrow we sill search for debaters in 2nd and 3rd batch..........
Another Issue is that we haven't finalize any topic yet.. So any suggestions about the topic will be warmly welcomed...
Finally, I hope that all IITians will be present on that day like other IIT programs......

Of course! We will be present Although I am not sure if the rooms will be able to hold all of us

Anyway, don't worry about this section. removing it won't happen... unless you guys force us to

I am confused though. You said it is a professional debate. And I chatted with Pran today for a while, and he said CSE DUDC is a very very strong team. Are we going to send our best team or are we going to send newbies from 2nd/3rd batch :O

A suggestion. Please send this notice to iit-du official group. It is still the best way to spread news among all IITians And best of luck!!!

The Schedule has been changed from 26th March to 28th march and it is edited in the main post.

The new schedule has been shifted to the Thursday 31st march at 2.00 pm, due to the basketball match of our institute at tomorrow and I am promising that this is the last time we are changing the schedule, this time will never be changed in future because of any excuse.....

ভাই, "IGO" জিনিসটাকি একটু বুঝায়ে বলা যায়?
আমার মতন মূর্খ এই জিনিস গুগলে খুঁজে যা পেয়েছে তার একটাও তো উপরের কথাগুলোর সাথে relate করতে পারছেনা

I am jest getting wondered that how a so-called versed person can question about EGO whether he doesn't know the correct spelling!!!!!
Its being seen that it has become a trend of our Mr. Study Moderator to find problems to whom, who doesn't get flattered by him. The topic that he told can be a topic of casual and chaos argument in a class for 2/3 minutes and when it wasn't taken because of low standard he found the EGO problem!!!!

I don't know why our debaters didn't think this topic is appropriate, but it's their decision actually.
But I would request our study moderator and to all other members, not to use language which can hurt others. This forum is a friendly place and every member has a responsibility to keep it that way.

I also took the proposal as a jokes.... and didn't told anything to him....But when he got a rep++ Mr. "Jack of all trade" began to think that he had selected a historic topic and we are not evaluating him only because of our ego that taking his proposal may take our prestige down......

Actually, we are eagerly waiting for the reply of EFAT, but didn't get any kind of answer from EFAT still now.

Well, as a newly established debate club, we are trying to give our debate club a shape. To be frank, it's hard to run our debate club regularly within the pressure of classes and exams. In this situation, our works may not seem appropriate to run a debate club properly. So, any kind of constructive criticism is always welcomed. ,
We also expect that, you all will provide us with your valuable thoughts and advices.

But, when our study moderator says , "we the debaters have some IGO(EGO to be exact) problems " and when he doesn't explain why he did it, then it really hurts us.

To our study moderator,
just try to realize that, we have established debate club in IIT only from our love to debate. It will not provide us any kind of money or exam marks , when guys like you comment like this, which has actually no logic(though you've not given your logic yet), then we feel really ashamed and what more, it creates a bad example in front of the juniors.

So, from our perspective, we are looking forward for your answer. If you are really unable to reply , please just say a little "sorry" to our debate club( I doubt , wheather you possess that kind of sense or not),

There has been a tendency to refer to people by their post instead of their name. With all due respect, I think that it is not good practice. And personally, I think it might just be a bit insulting.

We can constructively criticize someone's post. But when we start referring to them using their ranks instead of referring to them directly, we are going personal. At least, visually. It might not be a good example in front of juniors as well.

What I said is my personal opinion. And I hope Efat will clear this matter up ASAP.

Come on You gave a feedback to Efat. I am not saying anything against it. But I gave a feedback about something which is continuing for too long time only because.. I thought I needed to.
