Need Help to Fix Bangla Font Problem in Firefox 4

Today I installed firefox 4. But I can't see the bangla words in web sites correctly. The "u"-kar, "e"-kar etc appears after the letters instead of appearing before the letters

I made change to browser's font to Siyam Rupali and character encoding to Unicode (UFT-



I didn't face any problem in my previous firefox 3.6.

If anyone knows, how to fix this problem then please help by replying here

I described the symptoms of the problem

I described the version name for firefox. I am using windows 7.

I described what I did to fix the problem

I told when the problem stared (after installing firefox 4)

I was waiting for the OS version.

The firefox 4 version has broken Font inside it for indic complex scripts. That's why every firefox 4 users are having problem viewing Bengali fonts.

This is what I did:

1) Downloaded and installed Solaiman Lipi

2) Set default font to siyam rupali in firefox by going to tools, options, content

3) go to advanced, make sure that this settings are made:


3) go to choose languages, insert bengali, make it to priority 1.

Let me know your result after you follow this steps.

set proportional to Sans, if it Sans Serif, or vice versa, And try again.

This one particular problem of Firefox 4 is inconsistent :S The proper settings vary from pc to pc.

It was Serif. Changed it to Sans Serif.

But still it isn't working

See ? You didn't do according to the settings I provided In my snaps, my proportional is set to Sans Serif already triple check all settings Or if you are still unsure, provide your snaps of settings.

I checked three times

Not exactly brute force from my perspective Because if suyamrupali does not work, solaimanlipi will in most cases and vice versa

When I saw the image it seemed clear to me also
But actually it isn't that clear as firefox 3.6

When I took the snap, I made the screen larger, may be for that reason it seems much clear. But when the screen size is regular, the letters are not clear. Though I can read them

So make the screen smaller, and then take the screenshot
