Some Mega updates : Connect to IITDU through facebook

What a way to celebrate the 200 members of our dear forum!!
I have included some exciting new features... and I am sure some of them will make your jaw drop.

First of all, the tiny changes:

New ranks:
I have added some new ranks which will automatically change I will need some new rank images though. having everyone display the same old regular members icon is boring.
Anyone interested to make images for these ranks?

I have also added a new shortcuts bar and recent topics menu in the forum view. They are on your right side, as you can see.

Mega update: Facebook connect:

READ THIS PART CAREFULLY:
Forum members, try method 2, or else you will create a second new account which will be linked to facebook.

non forum members can read and login via facebook. It will create e new account for them here.

I have now integrated facebook with our dear forum [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

1. You can now login using your facebook account if you don't have any existing account in forum. Like this:

OLD USERS can integrate their facebook by going to their profile preferences (you might need to be logged in facebook in advance)

And you can also invite your facebook friends too!!!

Just go to the invite tab

I've a little suggestion .. there should add another rank that is called Posting Freak. to gain this rank, member should have at least 500 posts.

and you can give special rank for some well known user like, Software Associate, Software Engineer,Technical Analyst, Design Analyst.
it is an example, you guys can have some different ideas ...

The first suggestion may be considered. But I didn't like the second one

Sure just tell me when some user has more than 500 posts.
until then, we have to stay with the senior member.
And the post count will increase over time for each rank.

Sure.. when we have lots and lots of ACTIVE members :p

I appreciate these all.
And yeah, i am happy to see you guys happy.

But none whatsoever said anything about the new facilities.

What is the point of asking then?

I made a shortcut, and took a well 1.5 hour amount of work just to figure out how it works.

And i said that menu might look a little bit odd, so whether that should be here or not is an issue.

If it looks ugly, but you use it, mention that it should stay.

if it does not look ugle, but is useless, it should be removed.

If you do not think that some options there should be removed/added, tell so.

I want feedbacks.. yes, suggestions too. But if you keep ignoring the efforts I am giving here by saying absolutely nothing about the changes I am bringing, I will eventually lose all my interest.


I might as well as remove the new all facilities.

Here are some suggestions I am giving which I have noticed.

It doesn't look pretty, but its quite useful
Anyone can now jump to his/her required topic without scrolling through the whole page

And I have integrated my facebook and going to invite others

the only problem with those websites is that they don't supply customized rank images.
Which is what I am looking for
