Software Review: Snippy - Best ScreenShot Utility for Windows XP
Ever used the windows Vista/7 snipping tool and then wished that the same was available for windows xp? print screen button and then pasting it and then cropping it has been used for a very long time. Time to get something new, right?
I guess you did feel this way. And then you searched for it in internet, and found that there is a snipping tool available for windows xp!!
Wait.. that is for the table pc edition of windows xp.
That's a bummer...
But fear not There is actually a very lightweight and excellent freeware available for windows XP that gives
every and more facilities of windows snipping tool.
It is called snippy
It's size is only about 100KB. Best thing about it is that this software is portable. You don't have to install it. All you have to do is download it and then double click on it. Next second, you will see a scissor icon in your system tray.
there are two modes available for snipping. rectangle mode, and freehand mode. rectangle mode allows you to take snaps of rectangular area, and free hand allows you to draw areas and then takes snap of it.
You can simply press F11 or click on the scissor icon to enable screen snap mode. freehand or rectangular mode can be set as default from settings by right clicking on the scissor icon.
So what are you waiting for?
download Snippy, and start snapping!!
