Installing Citycell ZOOM in UBUNTU

Hello!
Dear friends,
Some of us are using various modem for internet connection.GP,
Banglalink,Aktel,Citycell ZOOM.It it easy to install the internet
modems in UBUNTU accept ZOOM.

Here I am giving the process/guidline for installing Citycell ZOOM (ZTE MG880+USB Modem) .

We can divide this into two...
1. Installation procedure
2. Connection procedure

Installation Procedure

Step 1 Insert the USB Modem into the USB
port of the PC.
Step 2 Open Terminal and type the command:

lsusb –v

After the command, the following lines found which indicate vendor id and product id
of the Modem like the below Figure:

Step 3 write the command for modprobe
the modem after getting the vendor id and product id. For modprobing, user has
to have root privilege and has to provide password for root. Follow the below
Figure:

Step 4 now configure the wvdial.conf file for dialing.

Go to the /etc and configure wvdial.conf file according to the below
Figure:

2. Connection procedure

From the Terminal just execute the Command: wvdial Citycell. Then the modem
connected showed in the below Figure:

For disconnecting the modem, just execute CTRL+C in the same Terminal
and the modem disconnected.
