The New Forum Outline

Well, Hola amigos,
This is the moment all of us are waiting for! Finally, we're back in business again, with the new forum outline we proposed and based on your feedback.
As you can see, we have reduced some bloat and make the forum a little bit compact.

The ranks have been modified a bit, and some new members are added to some new ranks.

The most notable change however, is the Academic sections. They have been compacted. Only the course code is shown, and when you move the cursor on the course code, the course title will be displayed.

Thank you all for your patience, and i really hope you people have had a lot of coke because we don't plan to change this outline very soon.

Upon user feedback, it will be returned.

Also, we need to define some things such as the difference between general chitchat, and irrelevant topics.
And the existence of a special section for moderators.

ফোরামে পরিবর্তন আনার সময় কিছু মজার ঘটনাঃ

১। হঠাৎ করে সাক্ষরের ফোন।
" ওই, 405 কই গেল "
আমিঃ "মানে???"
সাক্ষরঃ "মানে আমি এইটা খুঁজে পাচ্ছি না। সামনে এটার উপরে পরীক্ষা আর এটা গায়েব হয়ে গেছে। তুই বুঝতেসিস এখন কি হবে?"
আমিঃ ইয়ে... দাঁড়া... খুঁজে দেখি...। সর্বনাশ! আসলেই তো নাই!!
সাক্ষরঃ তুই কি করসস?
আমিঃ আমি তো কিছু করি নাই গেল কই? এখন কি হবে?
সাক্ষরঃ ...
আমিঃ পাইছি পাইছি! ভুলে ১০১ এর ভেতরে ঢুকায়ে ফেলছিলাম।

অনেকক্ষন পর আমি আবার ফোরামে ফিরে এলাম
আমি কিছুক্ষন ধরে ফোরামে ঘুরছি, যদিও এখনও সব পরিবর্তন বুঝে ওঠা হয়নি।
প্রথেমেই ধন্যবাদ জানাই অমিত এবং সাক্ষরকে তাদের এই পরিশ্রম দিয়ে ফোরামটাকে আরো সুন্দর করে তোলার জন্য
ফোরামকে আরোও compact করা হোক এই আশা আমার অনেকদিনের ছিল...তারা এই কাজটি অত্যন্ত সুন্দর ভাবে করায় আবারও আমি উচ্ছসিত

যতটুকু দেখলাম এই পর্যন্ত তাতে কিছু প্রশ্ন এবং কিছু suggestion মাথায় এসেছে।
সেগুলো এখানে দিলাম...আশা করি Admin রা এগুলো পর্যালোচনা করে সিধান্ত জানাবে

কিছু suggestion আর দেয়া লাগবেনা...already ওগুলো fixed যেমন UBUNTU section এর নামটা change করতে বলতাম, সেটা ইতিমধ্যে পরিবর্তন হয়ে গেছে!
General chit chat টাকেও পরিবর্তন করে "General Discussion" করতে বলব ভেবেছিলাম, সেটাও করা হয়ে গেছে
club moderator রা কে কোন club এর দায়িত্বে আছে user group এ বলে দিলে ভাল হয়। আর যারা Programmer তারা programming club এর ও moderator? কে কোন section এর moderator সেটা icon এ থাকা উচিত। এই গুলা এখনও বুঝতে পারছিনা

তবে এখনও যেহেতু "The forum is still under construction" তাই আশা করছি সব কিছু আস্তে আস্তে ঠিক হয়ে যাবে
আমি জানি দুই admin এখনও পরিশ্রম করে যাচ্ছে এবং আমি তাদের দুইজনের ক্লান্ত কন্ঠস্বর শুনেই বুঝেছি তারা গত কিছুদিন কি টানা পরিশ্রম করে ফোরাম এর এই অবস্থা দাঁড় করিয়েছে। তাই আপাতত আর প্রশ্ন/সাজেশান না দেই ... তারা অনেক করেছে এবং করছে

icons গুলা তো বানাতে হবে আমরা অপেক্ষা করছি কবে কোন সহৃদয় ব্যক্তি এসব বানাবে তার জন্য।
আর rank দেয়াতে কিছু সমস্যা হয়ে গেছে। আস্তে আস্তে পর্যবেক্ষনের মাধ্যমে এসব ঠিক করা হবে।

Where is the drop down menu (from which we could jump to a section in forum) in the portal page?

But what does it mean by "Upon user feedback, it will be returned" ? Is that means if users want to have this forum shortcut it will be returned or upon users feedback, when the forum's construction will be over then it will return?
