have followed the instructions and got it downloaded, but problem occurs
with JAD and DB files as edited DB file and the JAR file downloaded from URL in JAD file... both give error and did not run.
what problem could be there???

requirements: Programmer's notepad (portable edition) or notepad++

Notepad, or wordpad won't work!!

An account in ovi. You must be logged in to download contents.

And a Browser. Any browser!!

First of all, login to nokia ovi store. Unlike previous method, you won't be needing any user agent at all.

Now, choose your favorite software. It can be any java, or symbian based software. For example, we will try to download
Nokia mobile talk

please open it in new url. It is a big url right? Make the url like this:
hidden content: YOU MUST REPLY IN THIS TOPIC TO VIEW THE FULL INSTRUCTIONS

It still loads the same page. Now, we need to download it.

We can do this using a simple keyword in the whole url. it is :
hidden content: YOU MUST REPLY IN THIS TOPIC TO VIEW THE FULL INSTRUCTIONS

Now when you enter in that url, it will download either a
something.jad file,
or a something.dm file.
or a something.sis file
or a stopexamplesalready.sisx file

Don't worry about them now.

What to do it if is a jad file?

Just open the file using the programmer's notepad, or notepad++
At the top line, you will see an entry like this:

MIDlet-Jar-URL

here is a sample picture:

What to do if it is a dm file?

Well, this is a bit complicated. First of all, open it using the editor. the first part is like this:

hidden content: YOU MUST REPLY IN THIS TOPIC TO VIEW THE FULL INSTRUCTIONS

save the file pressing ctrl+s.
Now, rename the file, and remove the .dm part

And you are done!! You can install it to your mobile directly.

when did you try before today??

BTW, you can not download applications from OVI considering the following condition.
1. You have made an OVI account, and you have set it with your mobile model (in this case, c7).
AND
2. Your mobile model does not support that application. In that case, you won't be able to download it. OVI prevents it, because even if you could download it, it won't run in your mobile anyway.

I've tried the user agent method and had no luck so far, it requires the ovi store client which obviously can't be included in the user agent.

definitely gonna give this a shot, see if it works?!
