Enable/Disable Fn key in Dell N4030
For about 4 or 5 days I had been in a great problem with my Dell N4030. There was a problem with Fn key.
Some example problems-- 1. When you want to close a window we press Alt+F4. But it required Fn+Alt+F4.
2. To switch keyboard layout from English to Bengali or vice versa it nedds to press F12. It required Fn+F12.
3. To compile & run a C program in codeblocks IDE you need to press F9. But here I had to press Fn+F9.
And so on..............
I found that there is problem with the Fn Key but could not solve the problem. Amit vai solved the problem. So thanks a lot to him. Now I am saying the way of solving the problem.
1. At first go to your BIOS option by pressing the suitable BIOS Key.
2. Then go to System configuration and then move to Function Key behavior.
3.There are two options- 'Multimedia' and the other one is 'Default Functions'
There multimedia is selected for what the problem is occurring. Now just select the 'Default Functions'.
4. Save and exit from the BIOS.
5. Reboot your PC .
Wao,...............
The problem is solved....
Again thanks a lot to Amit vai to solve this problem for me.
