BIT01 - internship notice - updated

Sakib sir told me to tell you this:

1. Probably there will be a ratio of 60%-40% marks distribution. 60% will be for the company, 40% will be for IIT. We will give two presentations at IIT about our experience as far as I know.

2. Students will be sent to company based on preference when they have a satisfactory grade point. The lower limit is unknown. Others will be sent based on IIT's preference.

3. Students are requested to give Sakib sir company names they know which can provide intern ship opportunities, has a good structure, can help students learn about working environment and follows standards of software engineering.

4. Some companies will pay intern doing students and some companies will not. Probably financially stable students will be sent to companies which are not going to pay.


I guess that is all.

It should be 50-50 or even 55-45 to IIT, as sane performance is most likely to be evaluated differently by two different managers....

Hmm. Although I think IIT will give them guidelines about how to evaluate us.

It should be 100-0 or even 80-20 as the mark for internship depends on how did you do your job in that company which no one knows better than that company.

Will be too much risky for the students to even get good grades. Can you assure that the company manager of your preference will mark you the same way as in another company?

It should be evaluated by the company's as they will observe our work. But it must be very unfair judgement
Because every student will go in different company and different managers must evaluate differently. It's not possible to have equal judgement by providing guideline for marking. So. it's better to have some marks (40% is moderate) in IIT's hand.
