How to run a HTML code:
In this tutorial I discuss how to run a HTML code. Before start this tutorial I discuss basic information about the HTML language. HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language and is used for very basic web page. It is really easy. To run a HTML code we need some editors such as
1.Notepad
or
2. WordPad
Just open Notepad or WordPad and write this code

Code:: <html> <head> <title>First html code</title> </head> <body> Hello world </body> </html>

Save this code index.html (you must save html code using this formula anyname.html).
To test code open this code with any browser.
Description :
We write any HTML code using HTML tag and all tags must surrounded by angle bracket.
HTML tag comes in pair like

Code:: <html></html>

first tag is starting tag and second tag is end tag. I describe this line by line

Code:: <html>we must write all HTML documents under this tag </html>

Code:: <head> under head tag we write title of specific web page</head>

Code:: <title> to understand this you just click web development chamber of our forum and look at the top of the browser where it says “web developers chamber” it is example of title</title>

Code:: <body>it is body of web page. All content of your site written on it</body>

and we don't need to compile a HTML file as far as I know :S

Thanks your reply. You learn web development a to z in W3School but not learn how to create a web site practically. In my tutorial i will show how to create a web page theme using HTML and CSS and how to control cPanel,how works search engine just wait and see.

hey, nice tutorial. But thing is, we do not compile HTML code. HTML is something that is visually represented by browser. As the elaboration of HTML suggests, it is simply a set of tags that marks up texts Smile

Note: A tutorial is not a joke.Programming and Brainstorming Chamber is not a joking place. If you could not communicate with your replier than it is your fault. Tutorials are not for thyself. The post and it's replies should be relevant and understandable by the readers.

yes vaia , We know that most of the HTML tutorials are there. And all the educational posts are available in other places. But so far I know, we share these for getting these easily and to enrich our forum. I think this is also a good purpose of founding this forum as we can get some educational help easily here from the educational sections. So this approach may be encouraged. And thanks as you informed us one important thing-"We don't need to compile HTML code."

I don't want to quote anyone and make this post more lengthy.
I think Sharif couldn't explain much through his title post and one of his reply. And that lead to some misunderstanding between some of us.
And I appreciate Sharif's work. Hope this tutorial will be helpful. Wink

After discussing with the Programmer's of this section, some decisions are taken.

As this topic is a tutorial, this should've been in tutorial section the first place. However, this was posted in this section.

Considering the amount of mistakes in this tutorial, and the following discussions, here is the summary of the decisions:

1) From now on, tutorial section is accessible by all members. However, only programmers, and above can create new topic in that section.

2) The tutorials created by anyone related to Programming & Web Developing will be at first posted in Web developer's chamber or Programming and Brainstorming Chamber. If approved by the programmer(s), it will be moved to the tutorial section.

3) members can still reply to topics to the tutorial zone to ask questions.

4) Tutorials that needs improvement expects constructive feedback. Everyone can write tutorial containing wrong information. In that case, experienced users can help the tutorial writer to improve his work. Unless improved, it won't be moved to the tutorial zone.

Anyway,

I was happy to see the tutorial.
I was annoyed to read a joke that made absolutely no sense.
I was shocked to see the lock.

At least let the programmers give feedback. If Admins start actively moderating in this section, then Programmer's are not necessary, right?

Locking should be avoided as much as possible. Specially when people are giving constructive feedback are given.

I agree with Amit Neutral

Iftekhar had locked the topic to avoid more discussions on the joke issue, I think.

But Iftekhar, by locking this topic you had locked the scope to give feedback about the tutorial. The feedback may contain any correction, edition or modification of Sharif's tutorial. It may contains questions on the tutorial. So, it's not a good idea to lock a topic when there can be more discussions on the title topic Smile

Hope, Sharif will get more feedbacks on his tutorial and this tutorial can be moved to the tutorial section after getting constructive feedback on errors (if any) from expert programmers Smile

BTW, at first, many people do not understand what is the meaning of HyperText Markup Language. So, I am giving a very small description here.

HTML consists of tags which are used to Mark Texts and format them. As no changes to Text are made in reality, rather their presentation, it becomes Hyper Text. And language.. is self explanatory.
