Eclipse Hangs: When auto complete is used
This error occurs in eclipse helios versions.
It happens due to jax-ws proposals in auto complete list.
How to fix?

Re: Eclipse Hangs: When auto complete is used
Browser auto-complete support depends on the browser used (e.g. when using the same form or even a similar form in Chrome this browser offers [sometimes confusion] data to complete the input).
The HTML of the form can not be directly altered; only when you copy the HTML source code and host the altered form on a website of your own you can have some control over the HTML. But any change in the form using the Google Docs spreadsheet form editor will force you to change your altered HTML. So that's not really a user-friendly process.

That's what the moderators of the separate zone are supposed to monitor, that's what I think.
Re: Eclipse Hangs: When auto complete is used
Simple disabling of jax-ws autocomplete does not help me, because I don't even have it in the list. I have only Java Proposals enabled. And still Eclipse HELIOS hangs when displaying autosuggestions.
Any other thoughts?

Please provide your eclipse version, Operating system, and screenshot of eclipse > Editor > Content Assist > Advanced.
this is the first time I am hearing that eclipse hangs without jax-ws. So, the reason is within a really big range.

Re: Eclipse Hangs: When auto complete is used
Probably this answer will disappoint you, but apparently eclipse helios version 20100917-0705 crashes on random reasons in Mac Os x as well as Windows.
One particular website suggested that by turning off everything under general > Editors > Structured Text editor > Appearance, crashes can be avoided.
However, if it does not work, you can try newer versions of eclipse.
Many problems, including jax-ws was solved in Eclipse Helios SR2 and the other newer versions.
I know this is not exactly a solution, but if the problem lies within the current build, there is hardly any other alternative.
edit:
Now that I have taken a closer look at your eclipse, does your eclipse hang when you are trying to write applications in Android?
Anyway, that might mean that your Android SDK is not uptodate, and is responsible for the crashes.
Although these are just guesses, and I am disappointed in myself as well for not being able to give a precise solution.
