anti virus for ubuntu...
as i know all of you use anti virus in your windows os and looking for an anti virus for your ubuntu....
actually ubuntu does not need any anti virus. but now some people are creating some malware or something like that, which can cause you various problems. besides, while browsing the web virus may enter your pc and harm it when you turn on your windows. anyway, we dont want to take any risks and would like to keep it safe. so, here is a link that may help you installing an anti virus.

Re: anti virus for ubuntu...
McAfee is a company that makes its money from the fact that people continue to use inferior operating systems that can easily be infected with viruses, with disastrous results. In their press release, dated February 5 and widely reprinted in clueless media everywhere, they claim to have "discovered" bliss (actually, they are talking about the earlier alpha version, but they don't know this), a program that had been publicly available for several months at that time, thereby proving that they don't even follow the security and virus usenet newsgroups. They also recommend that you run one of their binaries, without letting you look at the sources, of course. Now what have we learned a moment ago: is that a good idea? An analysis of the press announcement has been provided by Russ Allbery. Another message shows that the information about bliss was provided to McAfee by a participant on the linux-security mailing list, where the sighting of the alpha version had been posted previously. McAfee, the heroic virus discoverer! Savior of the universe!
that made me laugh really :p

Re: anti virus for ubuntu...
You will find that in the official description of "Bliss", the only known virus of Linux system.
The virus creator himself notified the linux authorities right after Bliss was created.
The first stage was called alpha code.
Later, when the virus was improved, it was said to be in beta code.
Linux security newsletters contained information regarding Alpha code of Bliss.
And McFee was one of the subscribers. So, after some months, McFee made a press release saying that they "discovered" the first linux virus by the name "Bliss".
What they found was already known and available among people. Still, McFee tried to pretend that they discovered the existence of that virus.
Is not that funny?
