মডেমের জন্য দরকারী মডিউল ও কানেকশান ম্যানেজার বানাতে হলে লিনাক্স কার্নেলের সম্পুর্ণ সোর্স ও ডেভলপার প্যাক নামাতে হবে যার সাইজ অনেক বড়। তাই আপাতত আমি উবুন্তু ১১.০৪ আর মিন্ট ১১ ক্যাটয়া'র জন্য বাইনারি বানিয়ে দিলাম।
শুধু নিয়ম অনুযায়ী ইন্সটল করলেই হবে। ২.৬.৩৮ এর আগের কার্নেলেও কাজটা করা যাবে তবে সেক্ষেত্রে সোর্স ইন্সটল করতে হবে যা আমি অথবা অনিরুদ্ধ সময়মত বলে দেব। তাছাড়া অনিরুদ্ধ এর মাঝেই সুন্দর ইন্টারফেস সহ প্যাকেজ বানিয়ে ফেলবে আশা রাখি। আর কার্নেল ৩.০.৪ এ বিল্ট ইন ওয়াইম্যাক্স সাপোর্ট থাকবে বলে জানা গেছে। সুতরাং আপাতত লিনাক্সের নতুন ভার্সনে মডেম চালিয়ে নিতে সবাইকে অনুরোধ করছি।

মানি না মানব না... আমি যখন কিনতে চাইছিলাম তখন এইটা ছিল কই? আমার কেন আলমারির সমান মডেম কিনতে হলো? তুলে নাও তুলে নাও... বাজার থেকে তুলে নাও

Regarding myself, i'm from MIT-8th batch (the current batch), have done PGDIT at IIT before that.
I guess i can best describe myself as a Web technology enthusiast :-p , so love to experience all the good stuff today's WWW has to offer.

BTW, great job on DSEDroid! :-)
Are we (current MIT) allowed to participate as spectators at the presentation?
And when is the presentation btw?

As far as I know, every IITian is allowed to view presentations, unless they are supposed to attend classes. But, we already gave the presentation on our 5th Semester. Embarassed
