Introducing IRC chat in IITDU

well guys,
IRC means Internet Relay Chat. Worlds most popular, most efficient, fastest, oldest, and least data cosuming chatting system
Best thing about this is that, you don't need to register
and you can easily send and receive files accross different platforms at the highest speed
You can join the IITDU IRC channel by several methods:
here is a small example, I am connected to IITDU through website, Xchat IRC client of Ubuntu, and Empathy .

I am going to show you the way
1. Through the website itself
It is available in this link:

2. And through any free IRC client which is available in Windows, Ubuntu, MAC .. everywhere!!
I am going to show you how to connect to IITDU IRC via Empathy
Anik Will show you how to connect using mIRC, the most popular IRC client of windows.
Connecting to IITDU IRC using Empathy, default chat client of Ubuntu :
First of all, you need to make a Account to login to IRC server. We do that in Empathy by pressing F4 and then, clicking on "Add" button.
Lets select IRC here:

And now, we need to it edit the IRC details. In the network, select QuakeNet. now, click on the edit button.
There, you will see Server list. Click on the edit button. Make the following changes:

MAKE SURE THAT YOU MOVE THE NEWLY CREATED SERVER AT THE TOP OF ALL SERVERS
Server: clanserver4u.de.quakenet.org
Port: 6667
And make sure that you do not tick the SSL. Leave it as unmarked.
Now that we are done, click on apply, ok.. and select it and then click on Connect. If you did everything correctly, you will be able to connect
Now, to join IITDU room:
In Empathy, go to room, then select join ....
There, select your newly created IRC account, and then in the room name, write #iitdu like this:

And press Join
You are done
LIGHTEST EASIEST Method with file sharing (excluding the webchat):
here is another way for using IRC chat in forum
First of all, install a mozilla firefox plugin called chatzilla from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
its size is around 338KB, so, it is very lite
Now that you have installed and restarted your firefox, simply click on this [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
You can also copy and paste this link in your browser for further reference:
and when you press enter, the iitdu chat room will open instantly for you
Just like this:
