first install ubuntu outside windows...
second install gparted from the application list...
finally format the drive in which windows is installed....

Doubt that.. What if that windows drive contains some precious family pictures?

lolz..actually I lost some very precious pictures by mistake while formatting. That was a crucial lesson for me.
