Well, I have sent many of you help files created in CHM (Compiled HTML Help file).
However, CHM was mainly developed for windows.
How to view them in Ubuntu you wonder?

Just go to software center and download KCHMviewer Smile
there are also some other CHMviewers like gnochm and Xchm as well.
But according to numerous websites, KCHMviewer is the best Smile

EDIT:
Don't bother about others. I love xCHM Very Happy

KCHMViewer is too heavy Neutral
use SeeCHM instead. it is very light, and very good Very Happy

Interesting....
when I installed gnochm, it was installed by the name CHM viewer under accessories.
Anyway, there is a little problem with gnochm.
If a chm tutorial contains animated gif images(remember Mahmuda madam's video tutorials? kinda like that, but more light), gnochm shows the static(read non animated) version of the picture, as a result of which, you may not the idea clearly as you were supposed to get by watching an animated image.
However, seeCHM is free from this problem Very Happy

I change my opinion after using CHM viewer, SeeCHM, and xCHM Neutral

Whatever flaws I noticed in CHMViewer and SeeCHM, xCHM is free from them Very Happy

it is light, it can show animated gifs, and it doesn't give errors Very Happy

xCHM rules!!

I have just tried xCHM.
And I think Amit bhai called it right. It is almost perfect. Except for some awkward yellow and blue HTML header coloring. Very Happy
And it can show chm files almost exactly as in windows. So you won't have much different experience while viewing chm files opened with it. Smile
And a rep++ goes to Amit bhai as I was desperately searching for this kinda tool.
