We know that our upcoming exam of Parallel Computing will be held 30th March,Wednesday. Here I just give the syllabus with discussing Shamol.But you can also add some thing which you think that Sir have covered it at Class.

Basically This chapter was our Self study.But Sir also covered these topics:

-->SISD,SIMD,MISD,MIMD(page-11-12)

-->Parallel/Vector Computers(page-11-12)

-->Shared Memory Multiprocessors(UMA,NUMA,CUMA--section:1.2.1)


Chapter 02: Program and Network Properties

-->Data Dependencies,Control Dependecies and Resource Dependencies--section:2.1.1(these are very important topics)

-->Bernstein's Conditions

-->Grain Sizes and Latency Section:2.2.1

-->Grain packing and Scheduling section:2.2.2 & 2.2.3(v.v.I)

-->Control Flow Versus Data Flow sec:2.3.1

-->Network Properties and Routing sec: 2.4.1(v.v.I)

Chapter 03: Principles of Scalable Performance

-->Parallelism Profile in Programs Sec:3.1.1

-->Harmonic Mean Performance Sec:3.1.2

-->Efficiency,Utilization and Quality Sec:3.1.3

-->Speedup Performance Laws sec:3.3

-->Amdahl's Law for a Fixed Workload Sec: 3.3.1

What will be the Date for our Parallel Computing Exam? We need to select the date tomorrow and then inform Sakib Sir.

I think it would not be a good decision to attend exam after the fight of India and Pakistan

I am also agree with you, Toma.

if we fail to settle a suitable time for exam on Wednesday before the game, according to Sakib Sir, the exam will be held on this Thursday after lunch....

It's shouldn't be done, because we have debate with CSE at that time...........

well, then best possible solution is to shift the exam to next wednesday, as next sunday is the WC final...

sakib sir may die if he hear it.............
