Using bangla Everywhere in Ubuntu

মারাত্নক......তবে আমিও একটি পদ্ধতি যোগ করতে চাই.......টারমিনাল থেকে কমান্ড দাও....
sudo apt-get install scim-m17n
তারপর sudo gedit /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90im-switch
এতে যে ফাইলটি খুলবে সেটাতে কিছু লেখা থাকলে মুছে দাও এরপর নীচের লাইনগুলো পেস্ট কর..আর যদি না থাকে তবেও পেস্ট কর..
export XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM"
export XIM_PROGRAM="scim -d"
export GTK_IM_MODULE="scim"
export QT_IM_MODULE="scim"

ফাইলটি সেভ কর...
উবুন্টু রিস্টার্ট কর...
এরপর ctrl+space bar চেপে তোমার পছন্দ মতো ভাষায় লিখতে পার.....যেকোনো জায়গায়( টেক্সট এডিটরে, ওয়ার্ড প্রসেসরে, মজিলাতে)......আমি অবশ্য বাংলাতেই লিখেছি:p

Erm... after a little crush caused by SCIM...(Dunno what exactly happened I just clicked on the help button of SCIM 4 times in a row and ubuntu stopped responding.)

There are a few things I would like to add.
First of all, SCIM is not for Bengali only, but all the Unicode characters.
there are 4 types of Bengali style available in SCIM-Ubuntu, and the most suitable one for Avro key board users will be bn-itrans method.
The methods can be changed from the upper panel's SCIM menu.(The icon looks like a keyboard)
However, those who are adapted to Avro will find some difficulty to use this software, the phonetics based typing is somewhat different.
If the software includes the Avro style for phonetics based typing, it will be a perfect one!
But right now it's not perfect, and I will be sticking to শাব্দিক
